What does Kin Home do for partners?
We provide the financial back-office for solar installers — lender stack, commission tracking, fulfillment, permitting, and more. You sell and install. We handle financing and pay you on milestones.
How much does it cost?
Nothing upfront. We take a margin on the loan products and pass commissions to you on each installed system. The IDA spells out exact economics — typically you keep $0.30/W × system size in commissions.
What lenders are supported?
GoodLeap, LightReach, Propel, Enfin, Sunrun, Mosaic, Sunlight Financial, plus cash deals. Approved on day one — no per-lender onboarding required from your side.
How fast is the application process?
5-minute online form. We review within 48 hours. If we're a fit, your account manager schedules a discovery call within a week.
How long is onboarding?
14 days from contract signature to your first deal. Structured: documents collected (week 1), lender training (week 2), pricing + sales process (week 2), first deal submitted (week 3).
When do I get paid?
Weekly. Each install earns M2 commission on inspection (50%) and M3 commission on PTO + system energized (50%). ACH or check, your choice. Tracked in real-time in your portal.
What if a deal cancels?
Pre-install: no commission earned. Post-install but pre-PTO: M2 retained, M3 forfeited. Post-PTO: both retained subject to standard clawback terms in the IDA.
Do you serve my state?
Most US states. We're strongest in CA, FL, TX, AZ, NV, NC, SC, GA, CO, NM, MA, NJ, IA, MO, OH. Apply and we'll let you know if we cover yours.
What about support?
Each partner gets a dedicated Account Manager (AM). They're your first call for anything — escalations, deal questions, lender training, customer disputes.
Can my sales reps use this too?
Yes. The portal is for the company; your sales reps can be added as users. Each has their own pipeline view but you (as principal) see the aggregated company-level data.
