§ 01

The volume wall

Independent installers hit a wall the moment they try to compete with the nationals: enterprise lender stacks, OEM-direct equipment pricing, and back-office fulfillment are all calibrated around volume you don't have yet.

The issue isn't capability — it's scale. Kin extends the same infrastructure the top operators use, on day one, without asking you to give up your customers or your brand.

§ 02

What you get

Lender Stack

Full financing menu, one application

TPO, loan, and prepaid-lease products across six integrated lenders. Approved on day one — no per-lender onboarding circus.

Domestic-content stacks pre-negotiated. Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge, SEG, QCell — at volume Kin commands.

Back-Office

Permitting, materials, install crews if needed

Full fulfillment available where you don't have your own crew. Lender reconciliation, document chase, inspection scheduling handled.

Revenue Tracking

Questions worth asking

Common objections, answered.

Do I keep my brand and customer relationships? +
Yes. You’re an independent dealer. Kin powers your back-office; the customer signs with you, you own the relationship, and your brand is on every deliverable.
Do I have to use Kin’s lenders exclusively? +
No. Use the Kin lender stack when it serves the deal. Use your own direct relationships when those serve better. The platform fee only applies to Funded Jobs that route through Kin’s lender stack.
What if my state isn’t listed? +
Apply anyway. We expand the program based on partner demand and lender coverage. If we can’t take you on yet, we’ll tell you straight and stay in touch as the network grows.
How fast is the onboarding really? +
Fast structured. Documents, lender training, pricing schedule, and first deal pipeline review all run on a guided timeline. Partners moving aggressively can submit a first deal within the first week.
Who pays for permits, materials, and install? +
Default: you do, on your normal schedule. Optional: Kin handles procurement, job-site delivery, permitting, and crew dispatch via the concierge add-ons.
What’s the commitment? Can I cancel? +
12-month minimum on the IDA so we can amortize the lender integration work. After that, month-to-month with a 30-day notice. No retention clauses, no clawbacks on already-funded deals.
What about my existing sales reps and commission stack? +
Your reps stay yours. If you want to run their commissions through the same M2/M3 engine that powers your partner side, that’s available as a concierge add-on.
How does Kin make money? +
A per-watt platform fee on each Funded Job — tiered by your monthly volume. Specific rates are shared on the qualification call. You set retail pricing; everything above lender fees and our platform fee is yours.
